I hope this post finds you well, I did not forget to post, but rather wanted to not force myself into writing on a regular basis because of a program, but instead when I feel like I really have good content to communicate.
Today we will talk about Performance Max Campaigns that you can create and run in Google Ads.
So, shortly, those campaigns can be the gold mine your company or client needed, or a total liability if not done properly. And here are multiple ways of testing and preparing a PMax campaign right for your client or your business.
We already know that PMax Campaigns run using all the data available in your account, so the longest the activity (one client of mine has around 10 years of account history, which is a pure asset) the better for you. PMax can place your assets in many placements like: Gmail, Display network, Search Network and product shopping placements.
It takes around 60 to 90 days for a PMax campaign to calibrate and adjust itself and the budget you got to invest into it will let you run PMax campaigns to their full extent or just use part of the placements available in this campaign. So, let’s take an example where you have 50$ a day as your budget for this campaign and you decide to add all the assets that you can to the campaign, that will mean that the budget will be consumed fast by display most probably and have 0 time to calibrate itself for search, shopping and other placements. So, the lower the budget, the lesser the assets. I always recommend starting a PMax only with the product feed loaded into it and by doing this testing what is going to happen and further decide on your strategy.
Also, remember to make a PMax for each of your product category that you are advertising, because this will help you easily see which categories are performing well and which not and also which product from each category is performing well or not. Make sure to always keep your prices competitive if you want to perform well, users nowadays just look at the shopping placements and click on the best price available, at least in Romania this happens, especially in the B2B sector, it is true that in fashion for example the style and design matter more, but you got the main idea.
Use this information for your own clients or business. I will not have a written in stone schedule for this blog because I simply don’t like routine, but be sure that I am always on the move upgrading my skills and knowledge and most importantly expanding my business.
See you soon and I will come back to you with useful and interesting information.
