Today I’m going to present to you some strategies for advertising local companies on the Google Ads network. Well, Google Ads is a marketing tool essential for every business nowadays. Based on machine learning, it is one efficient way to satisfy the need in a market (Search Campaigns), or create the need (Display, Video campaigns).
The budgets needed for this differ from market to market, from country to country. While in Bucharest, Romania you can have a daily budget of 5 USD on a lead generation campaign, in US the budget for one month for a local business should be between 1000 USD - 10.000 USD, let’s take 5000 USD as the budget for our example, we got around 167 USD as your daily budget. That is what I mean when I say there are differences.
We will talk about the strategies a local business should use depending on their industry. Let’s imagine a company that provides services at the customer’s location, such as: gardening, constructions, home redecoration and so on. This businesses will have to go for custom Search campaigns (the most powerful campaigns in my opinion) and also fuel the funnel with one Display campaign.
I am currently using this strategy on a local scale and register really good results, started not long ago and leads start to show up from the very first days, the client registering orders worth around 5000 USD.
This is the Display campaign, with very low costs:
This campaign is just a gold mine. Imagine paying 3 dollars a day and you ad registering around 32.000 impressions daily. The best fuel for your funnel.
The Search campaign on the other hand got the following results:
In just a few days, spending around 150 USD in this campaign we managed to get around 310 clicks, clicks worth around 5.000 USD, the sales my client told me were registered since we started working together.
There are other strategies that can be used on a local scale, you need to be creative about it. We can use campaigns that target people only in specific areas inside a city, or use campaigns that will be focusing on getting clients inside our brick and mortar shop.
A local pizza restaurant will have to use campaigns that target only specific areas where they make deliveries and also use the a display campaign to raise awareness on their business and maybe come up with a hard to refuse offer for first time clients, there are many possibilities.
